Along with the Brothers of Mercy of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the members of the Peter Friedhofen Auxiliary (Peter-Friedhofen-Bund) form a large community of prayer serving the glory of God and the strengthening of faith and love in Christian people.It also supports the apostolic-charitable ministry of the Brothers, which comprises physical, spiritual, and pastoral care in all the world. It further strives for the canonization of Peter Friedhofen.

The Blessed Brother Peter Friedhofen is a friend and advocate for all those who turn trustingly to him with their concerns. At his grave in the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the garden of the Hospital of the Brothers of Mercy in Trier, people experience again and again consolation, encouragement and help in their spiritual and physical needs. Especially now can we turn to him, after the beatification of the founder of the order on June 23 1985 has officially confirmed in a unique way his charism.

Every Saturday mass is celebrated at the grave of the Blessed Peter Friedhofen in the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the prayer concerns and petitions of the members of the Peter Friedhofen Auxiliary are especially remembered.. Membership in the Peter Friedhofen Auxiliary is free. Donations are used for charitable work at home and in the mission field.
